竹中万季（She/Her）。1988年、東京生まれ。me and you co-founder、Editor。慶應義塾大学文学部美学美術史学専攻卒業。2017年にShe is、2021年にme and youを野村由芽と立ち上げ、文化や生活にまつわる編集、企画、執筆などを行う。インターネットをきっかけに越境的な文化・コミュニケーションのあり方に、またフェミニズムをきっかけに社会の中で見えにくくされているものや不均衡のあり方に関心を持つようになる。異なる場所・言語・時代を生きる人たち、個人と社会／記憶と歴史のあいだにあるものを大切にしながら、メディアやコミュニティ、プロジェクトの実践をおこなっている。東京の世田谷、三軒茶屋のあたりで生まれ育ち、いまは世田谷の大きな公園のそばで暮らす。音楽と街の探索が好き。
Maki Takenaka(She/Her).Born in Tokyo, 1988. Co-founder of me and you, and editor. Graduated from Keio University, Faculty of Letters, majoring in Aesthetics and Art History. Co-founded She is in 2017 and me and you in 2021 with Yume Nomura, working in editing, planning, and writing around culture and everyday life. Through the internet, she became interested in cross-border forms of culture and communication; through feminism, in the things made invisible, and the imbalances, within society. While valuing what lies between people living in different places, languages, and times — and between the personal and the social, memory and history — she works across media, community, and various projects. Grew up in Sangenjaya, Setagaya, and now lives near a large park in the same ward. Loves music and exploring the city.
偶然同じ音楽を聞いていたこと、同じ景色を知っていたこと。言語も場所も世代も違う人と、ふとした瞬間に深いつながりを感じること。翻訳できないのに伝わるもの、言葉にならないものに残るもの、見過ごされてきたけれどたしかに存在するもの。異なる中にある重なりや、重なりの中にある異なりを注意深く見つめながら、関係性や記憶、文化や表現における見えにくいものや言葉にしづらい感覚をすくい上げ、言葉や企画にすること、記録していくことにずっと関心を持っています。
最近は、異なる文化圏のあいだで何が翻訳され何がこぼれ落ちてしまうのか、インターネットで生まれる表現やコミュニティとそこに宿る美学の背景にあるもの、故郷というものなどに関心を持ち、自分なりに掘り下げています。また、そうしたことについて考え続ける場としてのメディアやコミュニティをインディペンデントなかたちで続けていくとはどういうことか、実践しながら考えています。

Having listened to the same music by chance, having known the same scenery. Being able to connect deeply, in a fleeting moment, with someone of a different language, place, or generation. Things that can't be translated yet still come through; things that remain even without words; things that have been overlooked but undeniably exist. I've long been drawn to looking closely at the overlaps within difference, and the differences within overlap — picking up the things that are hard to see, and the feelings that are hard to put into words, within relationships, memory, culture, and expression, and turning them into words, projects, or records.
Lately, I've been exploring, in my own way, what gets translated and what gets lost between different cultural spheres — as well as the things behind the aesthetics of expression and community born on the internet, and the idea of "home." I'm also continuing to think through, in practice, what it means to sustain media and community independently, as a space for keeping these questions alive.

広告会社でWebディレクションや情報設計の仕事を行ったのち、CINRAにてさまざまな企業・行政案件におけるWebやイベントなど複合的な施策の企画・プロデュース、メディアの立ち上げやコンテンツの編集を行い、「She is」や「me and you」などを事業として立ち上げ、育ててきました。課題を掘り下げ、届けたい相手に届く企画をつくること。思いや願いをもとに実現可能で持続的なプロジェクトにすること。複雑に散らばった情報を必要な形に流れをつくって届けること。さまざまな魅力を持つ人たちとチームをつくり、クリエイティブを届けること。どの仕事においても、資本主義的な発想から抜け落ちるものに目を凝らすこと、現在の社会を見つめ、歴史に敬意を持つことをできる限り意識しながら取り組んでいるつもりです（難しいけれど…！）。
同時に、ここ数年はリサーチや聞き取りを重ね、個人的な想いも交えながら執筆する仕事も大切にしています。音楽に関する執筆の仕事も少しずつ増やしていっています。最も関心がある表現形式はテキストとウェブですが、他にどういった可能性があるのかは引き続き模索しているところです。
これらの経験をどのように活かすことができるのか、自分にできることとは何なのか、さまざま模索中です。わたしはこういう人、と決めきらずに、常にいろいろなもののあいだにいることを大事に。
After working in web direction and information design at an advertising company, I moved to CINRA, where I planned and produced projects across web, events, and media for companies and public sector clients. From there, I went on to co-found "She is" and "me and you." I care about making things that actually reach the people they're for. Turning ideas into projects that last. Bringing order to scattered information. Building teams and bringing creative work into the world. In everything I do, I try to pay attention to what gets left out of capitalist thinking, to look honestly at society, and to hold history with care — though it's hard.
At the same time, I've been doing more writing — drawing on research and interviews, mixed with my own perspective. I've also been writing more about music. Text and the web are the forms I'm most drawn to, but I'm still exploring.
I'm still figuring out what I'm capable of, and how to bring it all together. I'd rather stay open than define myself too quickly.
